When we go to a bowling alley, we usually play a game of 10 pin bowling. If you want to improve and have fun with your friends, knowing how to score in 10 pin bowling is essential.
Each 10 pin bowling game consists of 10 frames. You get two chances to knock down the pins each frame. In a single game, you can score a maximum of 300 points. So how do you keep score of your score? Let's find out!
However, there some key rules that you will need to follow to score in 10 pin bowling. First, from each pin that you knock down you score one point. If you knock all 10 pins down in one frame, you get a strike, which is worth 10 points plus the sum of your next two rolls.
If you manage to topple all the pins in two rolls but you don’t do it all in one frame, that’s a spare. A spare is also worth 10 points plus the total of your next roll. If you don’t hit a stain or a spare, you simply total the number of pants you knocked down in each frame for your score.
Act as if you are going to bowl 10 pin bowling. You can knock down 7 pins on your first roll and 2 pins on your second roll. Then you have what’s called a spare for knocking down all the remaining pins on your next roll. Your score for that frame would be 10 (for the spare) as well as the total of your next roll, which happens to be 9 (7 + 2).
For the next frame, let's say you get 4 on your first roll and then a strike on your next two rolls. Your score for that frame is 10 (for the strike) plus the total of your next two rolls, 14 (4 + 10).
